Our first Disneyland trip together!

Hello! It’s been a while since I’ve written. I finally feel ready to begin again but this blog will be changing a bit. I want to shift focus more on traveling and lifestyle for now. I will do product reviews now and then. Today’s destination is Disneyland!

Birthdays in December are easily forgotten! I have experienced this first hand with myself and my fiancé. Both of us are December babies and it is always difficult to get together with family for traditional birthday celebrations. Instead we have begun a tradition, since last year, of traveling for our birthdays. This year we decided to go to Disneyland!

I think winter is one of the best times to go to Disneyland. Christmas decorations can be found on every corner, putting everyone in festive spirits. Even in the heat! It’s funny, I had envisioned hot chocolate and churros for our snacks of choice. However, we ended up buying many ice tea refills.

What we enjoyed the most on this trip were the rides and fireworks. I was very worried about the lines because when I bought the tickets the website stated the date I had chosen was a Peak day. On a recommendation of a friend I bought the MaxPass and it was well worth it! It allowed me to get FastPasses for rides right from my phone. This saved us a lot of time walking between the different FastPass stations.

I loved the lights of the arcade.

It also sent right to my phone, any pictures of us that were taken by the photographers there. I made us pose for many pictures! I just wish more locations in the park had photographers. 

My tips for a Disney trip include buying the MaxPass and packing 4-5 water bottles. Having water with us meant we didn’t have to get in line for drinks until we had our meals. If it’s your birthday, you can walk in almost any store and request a birthday button! I had no idea, so I got mine at night because I noticed other birthday Disney guests.

My favorite rides had to be Indiana Jones and the Haunted Mansion. Indiana Jones is a classic ride that I always look forward too. I don't like roller coaster and this one is as close as I get to one! The Haunted Mansion is great because they change the decor for Christmas! I liked seeing Jack and Sally’s version of Christmas.

New year’s day is on it’s way! I’m really excited because my aunt was born New Year’s day so it is extra special. Because of this I have made *sigh* another outfit board. I’m just loving Polyvore lately and here is the outfit I would love to wear on New year’s day:

For the new year I feel I want something more flashy than a little black dress, hence, the little white dress. All these dresses I have chosen are ones that I feel will stand out on a day where many go over the top with glitter, confetti, crazy glasses and hats!

Hi everyone! The holidays are fast approaching and so is all the last minute shopping! Here is My Dream Holiday Outfit & Makeup. I say dream because I still need to do some last minute shopping myself, lol, I really want a sequined skirt and the Naked 3 palette. I also need a new black cardigan, my current one is so old and ratty looking, so it’s definitely time to retire it. I already have some black wedges and similar enough jewelry. Ahhh my dream XMAS/NEW YEARS OUTFIT…

Hola! Los días festivos estan llegando muy rapido y tambien ¡llendo de compras al último momento! Aqui esta el outfit y maquillaje de mis sueños. Digo de mis sueños porque todavía necesito que ir de compras al ultimo momento tambien, jajaja, quiero una falda con brillo y el Naked 3. Tambien necesito un nuevo saco negro porque el que tengo ahora es muy viejo y se ve, es ora de retirar lo. Ya tengo tengo tacones negros y joyas similares. Ahhh mi outift para navidad/o el ano nuevo de mis sueños...

Traditions...

My Xmas traditions include going to my grandmothers and grandfathers house where they host a big party with ponche and tamales. Yum! And we eat, laugh and just hangout until the clock strikes 12. Then at midnight we exchange gifts! Lol, it starts as a gift exchange but by the 24th everyone already found out who got who. :D When we arrive back home during the wee hours of the 25th my sisters and I open the presents are parent’s got us. (& they open what we got them)

Mis tradiciones de navidad incluyen ir a la casa de mis abuelos donde tienen una fiesta con ponche y tamales. ¡Mmm! Y comemos, reímos, y solo estamos juntos hasta que el reloj marca las 12. ¡A la media noche hacemos el intercambio de regalos! Jajaja, bueno al menos así empieza pero ya para el 24 todos saben quien agarró a quien. :D Cuando regresamos a la casa, en las primeras horas del 25, mis hermanas y yo abrimos nuestros regalos y nuestros padres los suyos.

Día de los muertos/Day of the Dead

 

 

Hello everybody, so today is November 2, which is Día de los muertos/Day of the Dead in Mexican culture.  (November 1 is for children who have passed and the 2 is for adults) For Día de los muertos it is tradition to go to the cemetery at night and decorate the graves of your family. You also take food for yourself and the dead. There is music and children go as well. All though I live in the United States, my family and others still maintain this tradition which I really love.

Hola todos, hoy es noviembre 2, el Día de los muertos en la cultura Mexicana. (Noviembre 1 se celebra los niños que han muerto y el 2 los adultos) Para el Día de los muertos es tradición ir al cementerio en la noche y decorar las tumbas de tus familiares. También llevas comida para ti y los muertos.  Hay música y van los niños también. Aun que vivo en los estados unidos, mi familia todavía mantiene esta tradición, cosa que me encanta.

Halloween Decorations!!

We bought the candies at Target.

 

 

Hey everyone! I thought you guys might like to see how my sisters and I decorated for Halloween. We were really creative this year! For our cemetery and Happy Halloween sign we used chalk. For the fake blood in the fountain we used Kool Aid. We all worked really hard on these decorations so I hope you like them!!

 

¡Hola! Decidí enseñar les como mis hermanas y yo decoramos nuestra casa este ano para Halloween. ¡Fuimos muy creativas este ano! Para nuestro cometario y el deseno en nuestra barandal usamos gis. En la fuente punimos Kool Aid. ¡Trabajamos muy duro y ojala les guste!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


 

All the little kids who came trick or treating asked if this was real blood, lol. Todos los niños que venían a nuestra casa para pedir dulces nos preguntaban si esto era sangre de verdad.
