Best Elf Products Under $10

These are my favorite Elf products that I use daily.

Elf is one of the most affordable makeup brands available. Unfortunately, I feel many associate affordable with lower quality. This is sometimes true but I have found hidden gems in many affordable makeup brands. My three favorite products from Elf in order of most used include the Eyebrow Duo Brush, Contour Palette and the 16 HR Cameo Concealer.

Eyebrow Duo Brush

I use this brush everyday! It features an angled brush for filling in your eyebrows and a spoolie brush for styling. I had it for about three years before having to replace it recently. I highly recommend it and will keep repurchasing. $4

I especially like to use this when I travel or doing my makeup on the go.

Contour Palette in Dark/Deep

What I love most about this palette is the convenience of the bronzer with the large mirror. I use it as a bronzer palette not as a contour palette. It serves as my makeup mirror when I’m away and as my bronzer. It has four colors that blend well. This means less items in my bag. I recommend this if you travel constantly and need to make room in your bag. $8

I like to use this concealer when I don't want to wear foundation.

16 HR Cameo Concealer in Medium Beige

This concealer is great for when you want a “no makeup look.” I like using this concealer when I don’t want to put on a full face of makeup. I like using it on my trouble areas like my hyper pigmentation and just blend it out a bit. It works great alone but I have noticed it shows in the creases. $6

Today I’m sharing with you beauty products I have used up and which ones I will repurchase. I like this series because I feel it better represents what my favorite products are based on the ones I use consistently. The items I used up last month include moisturizer, face soap, concealer and wrinkle cream.

Aveeno Positively Radiant Daily Moisturizer

Hands down this is my favorite moisturizer! I like how it feels lightweight when applied but at the same time is very moisturizing. It also has a very slight natural shimmer which I think adds a nice glow to the skin. Another plus is the SPF 15 to protect from sun damage. I will be repurchasing this item for sure!

Shea Moisture African Black Soap with Shea Butter

This is my favorite face soap for cleansing my face morning and night. I don’t get acne very often but when I do, this always stops it in place. I notice any acne is minimized or gone by the following day. Although I have used this brand for years, I recently learned that there are other more natural brands of black soap. I am very interested in trying a more natural, raw version of this soap so I might not repurchase this exact brand.

Revolution Fast Base Foundation in F10

This is my favorite everyday affordable foundation. It goes on smooth and has the right amount of coverage if you have a bit of hyperpigmentation like me. I also felt like this shade matched mine perfectly. However, I am not sure I can repurchase since it seems they are not restocking this item in United States stores. I have not been able to find this shade in any Ulta stores even online. Do you have any medium coverage foundation recommendations?

ROC Retinol Correxion Deep Wrinkle Serum

Last year I became aware of my skin changing. I began to show signs of aging and felt I should start using a wrinkle serum. I bought this one and it showed great results right away, minimizing wrinkles. The only issue is that I think it was too strong for my skin. When I put too much my skin reacted with acne. I will not be repurchasing this specific product but want to explore other options from this brand.

Wet N Wild Ultimate Eyebrow Kit & Brow Pencil

 
 Hello wonderful readers! I know I have previously made a post about my eyebrow routine but in this post I wanted to give you a full blown review of my two favorite eyebrow products. They are both from the very affordable brand Wet N Wild. These two products are the Wet N Wild Color Icon Brow Pencil in Brunettes Do It Better and the Wet N Wild Ultimate Eyebrow Kit in Ash Brown. I have to admit… I took WAY more makeup to my vacation in Mexico then I did to Arizona. Yet, I don’t feel like I over packed this time.

I love buying and trying new makeup products but I don’t always end up using every product I buy, or even liking them all. Well, a few months back I watched a video from a favorite YouTuber of mine, Allison Anderson, all about spring cleaning and simplifying your life. Part of simplifying your life is buying less things. This video motivated me to make a decision I had been thinking about for a long time. I decided I was going to buy less things, but in respect to makeup, it was starting the 1 In 1 Out Rule.

Hello marvelous readers! Today’s post comes to you from an unplanned trip to the mall, that turned into a great girls day out. It was a perfect Saturday morning in the most unexpected way. I have a schedule you see, every morning goes a little something like this: exercise, shower, work on blog etc... Well last Saturday when I was getting ready to work on my blog, my mom's cell phone rang, no I'm not clairvoyant, I just have fine tune hearing in my house. (and only there it seems...) It was my aunt inviting us to the mall and we went. As usual, I had to stop at Ulta, initially I was looking for that Kylie Jenner lipstick but ended up finding some other great, affordable products! So here is my little haul!

Hello lovely readers! Today’s review is on the Maybelline FaceStudio Master Conceal. This concealer stood out to me when it first came out, not just for the nice packaging but because it was a liquid concealer. Not only that, but this liquid concealer was claimed to be full coverage. I have used many drugstore concealers to cover up my dark spots but none were a liquid formula. This is because I was taught that liquid concealers were for under the eye and were not full coverage. So, all the ones I have used for my dark spots, have had a thick consistency. Although they worked great, sometimes they can look cakey and take a while to blend. For this reason I was super excited to try this liquid concealer! Well, I’ll tell you right now, it did not disappoint! So far I really love it and will definitely be repurchasing.

Hola lectores preciosos! Hoy voy hablar sobre el Maybelline FaceStudio Master Conceal. Este corrector se destacó para mí desde que primero salió al mercado, no únicamente por el embalaje bonito pero porque era un corrector líquido. No solo eso pero, este corrector fue reclamado a tener cobertura completa. He usado muchos correctores para cubrir las manchas en mi cara pero ningunos de fórmula líquido. Esto se debe a que fui ensenada que correctores líquidos eran para abajo de los ojos y que no tienen cobertura completa. Entonces, todos lo que he usado para mis manchas, han tenido una consistencia gruesa. Aunque sí funcionaron muy bien, a veces se pueden notar mucho y ser difícil de mezclar. Por esta razón ¡estaba muy entusiasmada para tratar este corrector líquido! Bueno, les digo ahorita, ¡no decepciona! Me encanta y definitivamente lo voy a comprar otra vez.

They include MAC 190 Flat Brush, EcoTools Stippling Brush, Real Techniques Expert Face brush and a Image Essentials Triangle Sponge.

Well buying myself a birthday present has become a tradition since turning 20. On my 24, I bought the Smashbox Full Exposure Palette to use for my birthday party that night and I loved it!

Yes, I still have these lyrics stuck in my head! I can’t get over this song, I think it will be the song that will for now and forever reminded of the summer of 2014. I promise this has to do with Rimmel lipsticks!

    Even though it is still summer, it feels over to me, I guess because everyone is heading back to school. All the vacations are over, and we’re all returning to the daily grind. It seems I have an early case of summer ending nostalgia… So off course when passing by the makeup aisle I decided to buy some summer lipsticks! I was so excited to buy these because they were half off, I got both for $3.99 each! BUYA!

    I bought two Rimmel lipsticks, Fancy and Pink Chic. Can you guess why I bought Fancy? Well it wasn’t just for the name okay! I really like both colors for summer and wanted to experiment with pink lipsticks because I mostly buy purple colored ones more.

Aunque todavía es el verano, para me se siente como si ya se acabo, porque todos han regresado a la escuela. Todos los vacaciones se han acabado y estamos regresando a los días de trabajo. Aparece que he agarrando nostalgia prematura, del fin de verano… Entonces, por supuesto, cuando pase por el pasillo de maquillaje decidí comprar pinta labios para lucir en el verano! Estuve muy emocionada para comprar estos dos porque estaban a venta, solo pague la mitad del precio, $3.99 por cada uno! AHA!

    Compre dos pinta labios de Rimmel, Fancy y Pink Chic. ¿Puedes adivinar porque compre Fancy? Bueno, ¡no fue solamente por el nombre! Me gustaron mucho los dos colores para lucir en el verano y quería experimentar con colores rositas, ya que siempre compro colores más morados.

Hi! Today I have yet another wonderful product to share with you! Perhaps you have tried them already, I feel like I’m late on the bandwagon, hahaha. Well, I’m talking about the Rimmel Scandaleyes, they are amazing drugstore eyeshadow pencils! I would go as far as to compare their quality to that of department stores, like Urban Decay!

¡Hola! Hoy les tengo otro producto maravilloso para compartir con ustedes. A la mejor ya los han tratado, creo que ya todos han descubierto este producto, jajaja. Estoy hablando de los Rimmel Scandaleyes, ¡son lápices de sombras increibles! Hasta fuera tan lejos como para decir que son de la misma calidad que los de las marcas más caras como Urban Decay.

Hi everyone! I HAD to make a post about this amazing product because it has become more than just my makeup staple but a holy grail product. I usually try out different products even when I already have a favorite but I can’t see that happening with concealers ever again! I highly recommend this product, especially if you have dark spots/hyperpigmentation like I do.

Tenía que escribir un post sobre este producto extraordinario porque se ha convertido en más que mi favorito corrector pero un producto “holy grail.” Usualmente me gusta tratar diferentes products aun cuando ya tengo un favorito, pero no puedo ver esto pasando nunca más con correctores! Recomiendo este producto con todo mi corazón! Especialmente si tienen manchas en la cara como yo.
