Nail-Aid

Hello! Today I decided to do a review on a product I picked up a while back at Ross. I had never heard of “Nail-Aid” before but decided to give it a try anyway since it was really inexpensive. It claims to make your nails 9x thicker. It goes on clear and dries quickly. As for the results…

My nails have become weaker from painting them so much but not to the point of chipping. After using this though they are chipping! They have not become stronger at all, they have become weaker! I do not recommend this product, no wonder it was on sale at Ross! Let this be a lesson to all you bargain hunters like me, don’t buy strange makeup brands at Ross! Cost: $2.99

Have you ever had an experience like this?

  1. Lol :D (Sorry :D) Usually "hardening" nail polishes don't work so well, oils and liquids that really go between the nail layers work better. Nail polishes can only fix the surface.

  5. 2$99! That is cheap! I also like bargains but I'm always weary when it comes to makeup or beauty products (I'm allergic to loads of stuff so I'm always scared that I will break out in a horrible rash or pimples leading to scars)

  12. this is rather unfortunate! D: Maybe it is because it was so cheap? :o I can't think of any other reason >w<;
    But overall making nails thicker sounds quite weird anyway, usually there are top coats and primers ect. that claim make your nails "stronger" not "thicker". I know some of them work!

  15. that's upsetting to hear <3 it always sucks when a product does not do what it claims to do but when it makes something worse...that's terrible!
