Milani Secret Cover Concealer Stick!

Hi everyone! I HAD to make a post about this amazing product because it has become more than just my makeup staple but a holy grail product. I usually try out different products even when I already have a favorite but I can’t see that happening with concealers ever again! I highly recommend this product, especially if you have dark spots/hyperpigmentation like I do.

Hola! Tenía que escribir un post sobre este producto extraordinario porque se ha convertido en más que mi favorito corrector pero un producto “holy grail.” Usualmente me gusta tratar diferentes products aun cuando ya tengo un favorito, pero no puedo ver esto pasando nunca más con correctores! Recomiendo este producto con todo mi corazón! Especialmente si tienen manchas en la cara como yo.

Pro:

-Lasts all day/ Dura todo el día

-Matches skin tone/ Se combina con tu piel

-If you have olive or a darker skin tone you don’t have to worry about it making your face look ghostly/ Si tienes piel más oscura no tienes que preocuparte de que te deje con la cara blanca

-Full Coverage/ Cobertura completa

-Blends really well/ Se mezcla muy facil con la piel
-Reasonable price/ Precio razonable

Con:

-There isn’t a lot of color options, I think there is only four different colors to chose from/ No hay muchas opciones de colores, creo que solo tienen cuatro

*Tip: for concealers/ para correctores

1.Put the concealer BEFORE you apply your foundation (This makes a big difference on the coverage you get, my skin looks more flawless if I put it on first)/ Ponte lo antes que apliques tu base de maquillaje (Esto hace una gran diferencia en la cobertura, y no se ven mis manchas tanto)

2.If you have dark spots on your cheeks like I do, DON’T put powder in that area or it will give you less coverage (I have combination skin)/ Si tienes manchas en los cachetes como you, NO te pongas polvo en esa área o te dará menos cobertura (tengo piel combinación)

My Story:

In my sophomore year of high school something started appearing on the left side of my face. I, myself didn’t notice, it was my family and friends that kept pointing it out. Finally my mom took me to a dermatologist and he told us I had hyperpigmentation. Worst of all, that are insurance would not cover it because they would consider the laser skin lightening treatment as a cosmetic surgery.

En mi segundo ano en la secundaria algo empezó aparecer en el lado izquierdo de mi cara. Yo no lo note, fueron mi familia y amigos quien empezaron a señalar lo. finalmente mi mamá me llevó al dermatólogo y él nos dijo que tenía hyperpigmentation o manchas. Lo peor de todo fue que nuestra seguranca no iba a cubrir el tratamiento porque consideran el tratamiento de láser como una cirugía cosmética.

I was devastated.

Estaba desolada.

I wanted to cry right there in the dermatologist’s office. High school is such a superficial time, I couldn’t believe that this was happening to me. What was worse was that people were always pointing them out and asking what was on my face… Everytime they asked my self confidence deteriorated.

Queria llorar allí en esa oficina. La secundaria es un tiempo superficial, no podía crear que esto me estaba pasando. Lo peor era que gente siempre señalaban mis manchas y preguntaban que estaba en mi cara… Cada vez que preguntaban mi confianza se quebraba.

Eventually I discovered the magic of makeup and felt more like myself again. I liked how people stopped asking but better yet, that I was feeling better about myself. Makeup gave me back the self confidence I had lost.

Eventualmente descubrí la magia de maquillaje y me empecé a sentir más como yo misma. Me gusto mucho como la gente ya no me paraba y preguntaba sobre mis manchas y mejor todavía, que me estaba sintiendo mejor sobre mi misma. Maquillaje me dio para atrás la confianza que había perdido.

Tips for covering DARK SPOTS: Tips para cobrir Manchas:

1. MOISTURIZE so that your concealer/foundation doesn’t look dry and cakey./ Usa crema HYDRANTE para que tu corrector/base de maquillaje no se vea seca.

2. Put on your concealer BEFORE your foundation. Make sure your concealer is your skin shade or a shade darker. DON’T get a lighter concealer./ Ponte el corrector ANTES de tu base de maquillaje. Usa un corrector del mismo color de tu piel o un color más oscuro. NO uses un corrector más claro que tu piel.

3. Use a FULL COVERAGE foundation./Usa una base de maquillaje que tenga mucha cobertura.
